Many reconditioned items have never even left our warehouse, may have the original box missing or damaged, or may have suffered minor cosmetic damage en route to us. We repair and restore such items before calling them "reconditioned." Only a portion of reconditioned items were previously returned by customers, and in such cases are strictly unused. As stated in our Returns Policy, we only accept returned merchandise in the original factory condition. We clean all returned items and replace any degradable components.

HOW DOES A PRODUCT BECOME RECONDITIONED?
Products are reconditioned, or "recertified" for a variety of reasons, many of which are not related to an item's ability to function properly. The following are the most common examples:
Most retailers offer a 30-day money back guarantee, and there are those consumers who just simply take advantage of that. These items are returned, inspected and repackaged like new.
Items where the packaging was damaged in shipment.
Items returned because of a slight defect. The defect is corrected, the product inspected and tested and then repackaged just like new.
The item was returned because of a minor cosmetic blemish that was corrected where possible.
Demonstration units (e.g., unpacked and photographed for our website) are also considered factory recertified. These units are inspected, tested and repackaged.
The box was simply opened. That’s it!
