The author presents an anatomy of acupoints based on a model of acupuncture rooted
in a neurological response pattern. This method combines modern anatomy and acupuncture, integrating TCM and Western medicine. A total of 378 acupoints are covered: 71 in the upper extremities, 84 in the lower extremities, 63 in the head, 8 on the neck, 37 of the trunk and 15 high-risk points. Most are depicted with duotone illustrations and text, the remaining by text only. Each illustration describes specific structure, including nerve supplied, adjacent muscles, vessels and organs, as well as safe depth, direction and angle of
needle insertion.
