Choosing the right needles: consider each case
All of our needles meet stringent standards of quality, set by different jurisdictions around the world and manufactured strictly to those standards by facilities in China, Korea or Japan.
The fact is, value-priced needles are ideal for a great many cases. For special cases such as metal sensitivity, or tendency to muscle spasm, more expensive grades, bio-inert lubricants, etc., should be considered. But for a very significant majority, the responsible practitioner can keep overhead costs low by using these standard-grade needles, without compromising quality treatment for the
patient. For example, needles made in China are very economical: they are manufactured in enormous volumes for a market that is perhaps the largest in the world for acupuncture supplies. It is a market which exacts both quality and value together from the closely-supervised manufacturers of China.
When you look at the comparison graph (below) a fact that stands out is the tremendous range in price for products which all meet high standards. The lowest-priced needles on the graph (Huan Qiu brand) are manufactured to the same strict controls that meet standards of the FDA, CE, and Health Canada.

The importance of certification
People entrust their lives to aircraft components in the hope that proper design, inspection and maintenance of the aircraft has been done. Each small component (like the aircraft bolts shown below) must be one you can depend upon. In machinery where safety is a less critical factor, a “good-enough” bolt will do (like the used automotive bolts shown below).
