This
work is arranged in three broad chapters. The first
provides standard information concerning the channels,
collaterals, and over 400 acupoints (location, indications,
method of treatment, and chart location according
to surface anatomy). The second chapter describes
more than 20 techniques of point treatment, and
the third chapter lists over 100 common diseases
and their treatment (main manifestations, therapeutic
principle, and treatments). The book is well-referenced
and conscienciously arranged. From a utilitarian
point of view, what makes this book stand out is
that the Chinese text follows the English text on
a page-by-page basis, so that it becomes extremely
useful for practical language-based study: visual
reinforcement of the Chinese characters is quick
and constant.
