Description: Trioxil utilizes Bisazulene, a unique new compound developed in the fight against acne. Bisazulene is clinically proven to reduce and prevent acne lesions without the drying, redness and swelling commonly seen from benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or tretinoin.
This light-weight gel incorporates nanosomes, tiny micro spheres 200 times smaller than a human cell, to deliver the active ingredient deep within the skin. The Trioxil® (bisazulene gel) 14% is delivered in a carrier agent that contains encapsulated extracts of compounds that further enhance the action of bisazulene and provide for better general skin health and appearance. The following compounds derived from the finest raw extracts have been added to the carrier agent gel:
Encapsulated extracts of Ginseng and Hamamelis: toning and astringent action that strengthens the tissues and regulates the secretion of oils.
Wheat-germ and Barley-germ Liposomes: nourishes and feeds the skin helping in the process of cell regeneration.
Arnica Liposomes: Arnica micro-capsules have deep reaching antiseptic action that helps to regulate oil secretion. |

Causes of Acne |
|
| Research at DS Laboratories has shown that acne only occurs in individuals with a pore structure that does not allows easy flow of sebum to the surface of the skin. Therefore having oily skin does not necessarily cause acne as long as the pore (follicular duct) does not become blocked. The tendency of the follicular duct to become blocked has nothing to do with diet, stress, or hygiene. Our pore structure is something that we are born with. Some people have pores that permit the unobstructed flow of sebum and these individuals will never get acne even during puberty. However, people with oily skin and pores that have a tendency to trap oil will have a more severe acne condition. Therefore, only if the pore structure has tendency to become blocked (we are born with this condition) will the skin form acne. Also, if the pores can become blocked but the sebaceous glands produce very little oil then this person is not likely to develop acne. |
