UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE PURO-2 WATER DISTILLER
With a tank made of stainless steel (including the lid, a feature not found in all models), a food-grade polycarbonate 1-gallon carafe, and enough speed to produce 24 liters of purified water per day, this distiller meets the demands of not only the most consuming of households, but also clinics and laboratories.
More important perhaps is the Puro-2’s replaceable activated carbon filtration feature, which provides an added step of filtration, setting it apart from many others on the market. Spare filter included.
HOW THE PURO-2 WORKS
The Puro-2 boils water in the tank, creating steam which rises up into the unit’s head, leaving chemicals and contaminants behind in the tank. Once in the condensing coil, the steam condenses back into water droplets, assisted by a cooling fan. Lastly, this water undergoes further filtration by passing through the active carbon filter in the spout before being deposited in the carafe.
