• Heating (temperature adjustment)

Connect the controller to the mattress
2.
Plug controller in and press the START/STOP button. Red TEMPERATURE indicator LED lights up.
3.
Use the up and down arrows to set the desired temperature (between 20ºC and 60ºC). The preference will differ for different people. The red Temperature Indicator LED will blink rapidly for a few seconds while the setting is accepted. Then the indicator reverts to displaying actual temperature of the mattress. This display will gradually change to reflect the mattress temperature as it heats up. The heating system will turn off automatically when the mattress temperature reaches the right level, and the red indicator will go out. Then the thermostat system automatically maintains the mattress at the right temperature. The red indicator only remains lit during heating.
4.
The timer function is not variable; it will automatically power off the mattress after 8 hours.
5.
Press the START/STOP button to power the mattress off.
• Negative voltage [N.V] function

To use the Negative Voltage function, press NEGATIVE VOLTAGE button. The red indicator will light to show that the function is turned on. The heating system and Negative Voltage function do not operate at the same time. The actual function will only operate during times when the automatic system is not warming up the mattress, though the red Negative Voltage indicator remains lit.

The negative Voltage Function will operate continuously until it automatically powers off after 1 hour, and its red indicator goes out.
3.
When beginning to use the Negative Voltage system, if the mattress is too cold, it is suggested to heat the mattress first, then use the Negative Voltage system.
• ION function (releases negative ions to freshen the air)

To start the Negative Ionization press the ION button. The Negative Ion function is distinct from from the Negative Voltage function, and can be used simultaneously with the heating system or used independently, even when the heating system is off. While operating, the ION (green) LED will remain lit.
2.
Press the ION button again to switch off.
Blinking START/STOP indicator is a warning that the mattress and the controller are not firmly connected or are disconnected. Temperature Indicator LED may show “Er” (Error). Check the connection between the mattress and the controller carefully.
Note: Reconditioned Units The following information applies to the control panels supplied with Reconditioned Single Jade Mattresses only:
The reconditioned single size Jade Mattress has a slightly different control panel. It is dial-operated (Temperature Control) with push buttons to turn power on and to begin ionizing. It has no timer under 8 hours, but shuts off automatically after 8 hours’ use. It has no Negative Voltage function, but has an E-wave neutralizing function, instructions as follows:
Electromagnetic Wave neutralizing function [E-WAVE] – Reconditioned Single Units Only
NOTE: it is normal for the mattress to operate with this indicator OFF. Only when EMFs (Electromagnetic Fields) are being emitted, will the indicator light be on. If checking for EMFs, the electromagnetic wave neutralizing function needs to be checked with power on.
The method for checking is:
Get off of the mattress and have no contact with the mattress.
Grasp the Electromagnetic Wave neutralizing button (metal button) on the controller with thumb and index finger firmly. Check the electromagnetic wave indicator. If the indicator does not light up, it means electromagnetic waves are neutralized.
If the indicator lights up in step 2), it means electromagnetic wave emissions are detected. Turn the electromagnetic wave switch to left or right. Find the proper setting where the indicator blacks out or is the most gray.
Caution: Indicator lights up when electromagnetic waves are detected. Electromagnetic waves can be harmful to humans. If the indicator grays or blacks out, it means electromagnetic waves are diminished and it is safe.
When the power outlet has been insulated by a grounded connector, the electromagnetic wave indicator will not light up.
