HOW TO USE INTERFERENTIAL STIMULATOR SDS41 :
Power Switch
The power swtich is on the top of the machine.
Turn the switch to "ON" in use and turn it to "OFF" when you discontinue the machine, charging the battery or the power is "OFF"
Electrode Pads
The unit has 4 individually-controlled channels. Each channel can control two pads. When use 2 pads as pair, the electrode lead wire is at first plugged into one of the 4 channel jacks at the top end of the SDS-4I. The pair of pads is then plugged into the electrode lead wire. Finally, the pair of pads is placed on the skin.
Memory
A unique feature of the SDS-4I is the patented memory, which provides information on your usage pattern.
This information will be provided to your doctor.
Channel Keys
The SDS-4I has individual keys that control the plus(+) and minus(-) output of each channel. The keys will "click" while press.
Press keys with a quick, firm press-and-release action.
Treatment Plan
To use the SDS-4I properly, you should be aware of what treatment mode you are using. There are 2 types of electrotherapy treatment. You can easily find out which type of treatment you are using. Simply look at the top line of screen.
Code 00, SINGLE USE PLAN contains 12 types of interferential treatment modes and 4 types of EMS treatment modes.
Code 10-33, SEGMENT PLAN contains 5 types of single segment plans, 3 type of 2 segment plans and 3 types of 3 segment plans. The SDS-4I will be pre-set with a treatment plan prior to your use according to your physician's prescription. The treatment plan is intended to provide the maximum therapeutic value for your condition.
For effective therapy, it is very important that the electrodes should be placed correctly. Your physician will choose one of the following procedures to place the electrodes on suitable area:
Procedure A
Your physician will mark the exact electrode placement position with a nontoxic skin-marking pen. You should use your skin - marking pen to darken these marks every day. If you are unable to do this by yourself, have someone help you.
Note: The marks may wash off when you swim or shower, so be sure to re-mark before and after these activities.
Procedure B
Your physician will place your electrodes directly over or nest to a body"landmark". This may be a mole or scar on your body that will be a reference point. Refer to the diagram so that you can find exactly where your "landmarks"located, and where the electrodes should be placed.
