Nasal / Sinus Irrigator

The Best Home Remedy for Nasal/Sinus Infection
Natural Help for Nature's Protection: the Nasal/Sinus Muco-ciliary Movement

NO SURGERY ! NO ANTIBIOTICS!
The leading nasal irrigator in the world - the only pulsatile nasal irrigator with the gentle pulsation of 8-15 beats per second that mimics the normal pulsatile frequency of nasal / sinus mucociliary movement. The nasal irrigator is helpful for Rhino-sinusitis, URI/Cold, Nasal Allergy and post Nasal Drip.
What is mucociliary movement?
The respiratory tract is constantly bombarded by noxious agents, such as microorganisms and air pollutants. To protect itself, the respiratory tract has a sophisticated mechanism of defense, the " mucociliary aparatus", which removes noxious material from the respiratory tract either by cilia transportation or by cough and sneezing, in cases of mucus overproduction such as allergic rhinitis, chronic bronchitis, cystic fibrosis and asthma.
The tiny cilia in the respiratory tract are the thrusters of the mucociliary transportation, normally beating at a frequency of 12-15 beats per second. This ciliary beat is coordinated, producing a wave which guides the mucus flow out of the nasal cavities.
COMMON NASAL DISORDERS
- Rhino-sinusitis: Inflammation of the nasal and sinus mucosa.
Sanvic pulsatile nasal irrigation can remove the mucopurulent discharge, biofilm, bacteria and toxins more effectively, and help the restoration of nasal/sinus mucociliary movement - the most important nasal self-defense mechanism of sinus health.
- URI / Cold : Viral infection of upper respiratory tract.
Sanvic pulsatile nasal irrigation can remove the mucoid infectious nasal discharge, viruses and toxins more effectively. The gentle, comfortable nasal SPA action facilitates the normal nasal mucociliary movement to prevent or minimize the discomfort of URI (Upper Respiratory Infections).
- Nasal Allergy / Hay fever: Human immune system hyperactivity.
Sanvic pulsatile nasal irrigation can remove the invading allergens or toxins more effectively, which helps to alleviate the allergic sympotoms and discomforts.
- Post nasal Drip: Abnormal sensation of nasal discharge in the throat.
Sanvic pulsatile nasal irrigation can remove the annoying nasal discharge causing the post nasal drip symptoms more effectively, regardless of the causes of the post nasal drip-rhinosinusitis, URI, nasal allergy, vasomotor rhinitis or nasopharyngitis, etc.

MUCOCILIARY MOVEMENT
The relationship between the nasal chamber and the para-nasal sinuses is like the a river (nose) and surrounding lakes (sinuses). The water in the lakes will flow into the river via a narrow but auto-controlled channel (ostium of the sinus), which can prevent the return of nasal secretions into the sinuses. But if the stubborn fluid from the nasal chamber gets forced into the sinus by forceful nose-blowing and cannot flow out (sinus ostium too narrow, channel damaged or walls swollen), then sinus inflammation with secondary bacteria infection occurs.
There is an amazing fluid transport system in the human respiratory tract-an antigravity fluid transport system. It is mucociliary movement, which plays the cornerstone role in the nasal/sinus self-protective mechanism.

There are millions of tiny cilia on the superficial nasal/sinus mucosa; these cilia move the nasal/sinus secretions backward to the nasopharynx, throat, and finally stomach. For an ordinary adult, there is around 1 liter of nasal / sinus clear mucus secretion per day. These nasal secretions and cilia movement constitute the mucociliary movement. It keeps the sinus healthy by removing the invading airborne bacteria, viruses or other tiny particles trapped in the nasal mucus. If the virulence or amounts of invading viruses are over the clearing capability of the mucociliary movement, it will provide the best enviroment for bacterial secondary infection and induce rhino-sinusitis. The most important cause of rhino-sinustis is impairment of the sinus mucociliary movement. So the best way to keep sinus health is to help remove the invading irritants, and resume the normal protective mucociliary movement.
