Moxibustion and Cupping are safe and effective methods of therapy for a wide range of diseases. This DVD offers valuable instruction on how and when to use moxibustion and cupping techniques for the treatment of various conditions, especially those that do not respond to acupuncture and herbal therapy.
Suction Cupping is a modern development based on traditional cupping. It produces the effects of traditional cupping methods and eliminates some of the disadvantages. Each of these cups generates its own vacuum through the action of a screw valve with rubber seal in the cup body. Every piece in the Suction Cupping set is virtually unbreakable, convenient, safe and suitable for both clinical and family use. The cups' transparency lets you clearly see the reddening that takes place in the skin as cupping time increases, so you can completely control the cupping as to its effects and the optimal cupping time needed.
FREE SILICONE FACIAL CUP INCLUDED
This set includes a silicone suction cup that needs no gun to create suction...just squeeze and apply to skin! The special shape for this cup makes it ideal not only for facial applications, but for small areas on the body as well.
1.
Clean thoroughly, remove body hair.
2.
Wash cups and target areas on skin with warm, lightly salty water, and dry before cupping.
3.
Before performing cupping procedure with a suction cup, make sure the inside of the cup is clean and the assembly is intact (valve and seal are firmly fastened to cup).
4.
Select an appropriate size or type of cup. (Smaller cups are for smaller body areas).
5.
Smear an appropriate amount of oil, or skin cream onto the target area.
6.
Put the suction cup on the area and turn the knob clockwise until desired pressure is reached. The cup should have enough pressure to stay on the body and pull up the skin. The cups can be used individually or in combination according to your preference.
7.
After the desired elapsed time, turn the knob counterclockwise to release the pressure. Always use this method to release cup gently (rather than wrenching it away suddenly) to prevent skin damage.
8.
It is normal for darkening to appear on the skin where cups are applied. This will dissipate in a few days.
9.
It is possible that sometimes blisters may appear on the skin where the cup has been attached. When the blistering is serious, routine sterilization is necessary. Prick the blisters and apply disinfectant.
10.
During each cupping session, keep the room warm.
11.
Use for no more than 15 minutes / target area, 1~2
SCREW VALVE SUCTION CUPPING FEATURES:
See What the Cups are Doing: Safe and Controllable
The cups' transparency lets you clearly see the reddening of skin with increasing cupping time, so you can completely control the cupping as to its effects and the optimal cupping time needed. Without the use of fire there is not the danger of burning the skin; and the negative pressure within the cup can tailored to each patient's condition, as you control it by hand.
For Cupping:
For best results, put a small amount of cupping cream, body lotion, or any gel, which helps to give a better seal, on the target area. Put the suction cup on the area and turn the knob clockwise until desired pressure is reached. The cup should have enough pressure to stay on the body and pull up the skin as shown at left. After use, turn the knob counterclockwise to release the pressure.
Six Cup Sizes are for Different Locations on the Body:
Small size for face or the points with less muscle; feet, hands, forearms. Medium size for upper arms and lower legs. Large size for upper legs, back or abdomen.
Daily Procedure
Lying down or sitting with cups positioned on targeted areas (or acupoints) for 15 minutes is recommended. You may do cupping once or twice daily.
