COM-TENS MODES
Normal - (continuous) is the most often used type of stimulation. It is thought to achieve its effect by closing 'gate cells' in the 'pain pathway' to the transmission of pain signals.
Burst - a useful extension of TENS. Burst mode increases the release of natural morphine-like chemicals (endorphins) into the fluid surrounding the spinal cord These potent painkillers often produce a sustained pain relief
Modulated - for patients who use TENS for protracted periods of time. Each surge is gradually increased in strength, held on a maximum, and then decreased for a gentle, soothing style of stimulus.
Concerned about Replacement Lead Wires? The main consideration when buying replacement lead wires ("cables") for your TENS device is the connection size, such as 2.0 mm or 3.5 mm. All TENS and EMS devices can usually use the same types of lead wires, provided the connection size is correct for the device.
